Focus and Scope – Journal of Women Fiqih Contemporary

Journal of Women Fiqih Contemporary is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research articles and scholarly reviews in the field of contemporary Islamic jurisprudence (fiqih) and ushul fiqh, with a specific focus on issues related to women and Muslim society in modern contexts.
This journal focuses on, but is not limited to, the following topics:
- Women’s fiqih from classical and contemporary perspectives
- Ushul fiqh and methods of deriving legal rulings on current issues
- Women’s rights in Islamic law
- Maqashid al-Shari’ah approaches to women’s roles in family and society
- Contemporary fatwa analysis related to women
- Islamic legal responses to modern challenges: gender, marriage, inheritance, reproductive health, etc.
- Integration of fiqih with social, cultural, and health sciences in the Indonesian context
- Studies on female Islamic scholars and progressive fiqih thinkers
This journal is published three times a year: April, August, and December.
